Industrial Designer
My name is Fabiola Cortés Chávez, and I'm a Mexican Industrial Designer with a strong background in Industrial Design Research. I currently serve as a Research Professor at the Academy of Innovation and Design within the School of Engineering at Panamericana University Guadalajara. My contributions to the field are recognized by my distinction as a National Researcher System (SNI) Level 1 member.
My academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Engineering, where my research focused on "A Hierarchy-Based Design Process for New Medical Device Design." I also hold a Master's in Industrial Design Research from the Istituto Europeo del Design in Milan, Italy, and a Master's in Ergonomic Design (with an emphasis on Design Ergonomics) from the University of Guadalajara.
This comprehensive background allows me to not only educate future leaders in product design and medical device innovation but also to advise companies strategically. I consult on design and research development, ensuring new products are crafted with a deep understanding of human-centered design and ergonomics, delivering solutions that are not just functional but truly intuitive and user-friendly.
Experience
Specialist in innovation and design processes covering the design of medical devices to consumer products. Education of the design project focuses on patents, user-centered design, ergonomic product design, furniture design, wood-based products, and design processes based on user hierarchy to increase satisfaction—design, manufacture, and market new products.
